Aporocactus flagiliformis in situ

My name is Ruben Alfonso and I live in Chignahuapan, Puebla in Mexico.

Today I found this fantastic forum, I registered with the intention of sharing with you the taste for the cactaceas.

I want to show you a colony of aporocactus that I have been visiting since January of this year.

A few days after the beginning of spring the flowers of the aporocactus begin to show their beauty, the pollinators begin their work.

Now after an intense month of flowering the plants begin to produce fruits and soon seeds.

I have a total record of 15 plants, 8 of them in process of flowering with an average of 13 fruits per plant. I am relieved to say that it is a stable colony and quite prolifera although in serious danger by tourist developments in the area.

I hope you have enjoyed this little report later on show the habitat of other species of cactaces and crassulas.
